Progress on installation art 'Reality of beach'

 Progress:

Artist decided to paint acrylic paint to connect all the printed images and to create balance between each other. It is also to create directional movemement of eyes and to create aesthethic artwork.

The artwork represents beach and things or objects found in surroundings. The beach which is a beauty of nature polluted by people with rubbish or interfere with man made object. This installation art is to emphasize on reality of beach from the eyes of an artist where she found different things and contrast when exploring Port Dickson District. The contrast can be clearly seen on incorporation of man made object like boats, net, rubbish with the natural objects like shell, rocks, corals, coconut trees and so on.

Progress on transfer printing on wood surface

Progress:

Materials: Wooden board, printed paper, acrylic medium, brush, roller, net

Figure 1: Materials

Steps:

 Pictures are chosen to be printed on wooden surface.

Figure 2: Choosing the pictures to be printed.

Make sure the wooden surface is free of dust or dirt.

Figure 3: Applying of acrylic medium on the paper.

Figure 4: Paper is pressed with a roller to attach it firmly

Leave the paper for 1 hour for the ink to be sticked firmly on wooden surface.

Figure 5: Peel of the paper with a wet cloth by rubbing it slowly

Figure 6: The surface have to be rubbed many times for all the paper to be removed.

Figure 7: Transfer image done on wood

Figure 8: The papers appears after dry if rubbing is not sufficient enough
Figure 9: The rubbing is repeated until all the paper scraps are removed

Attitude and manners in interview

Attitude and manners are very important during an interview because it creates first impression of oneself to the evaluator.

Some of criteria are as follow:

- Smile and be ethuasiastic because it creates first impression
- Turn off the phone or put it in silent to avoid disturbances
- Make sure to arrive 10 minutes early to the interview and introduce self to the receptionist
- Make eye contact and sit in open posture where the shoulders are lined up with the shoulder of interviewer
- Give introduction about self to the interviewer
- Dress code should matching the professional ethique and avoid wardrobe malfunctions
- Use terms like 'Ms, Madam, Sir, Dr' when talking to the interview team because it shows the respect for others
- After hand shaking with the interviewer, stand behind the chair and politely asked for permission. Personal belongings should not put on the table except the resume, portfolio, business card, notebook and pen. Other things such as bag should be placed under the chair or on the floor.
- Sit up straight with both legs planted on the floor
- After the interview, say thanks you to everyone and ask about timeframe for filling the job if necessary
