Contemporary design


Task 1- Reflection Practice and writing

 Contemporary design style started after modern design which was existed around mid 1900. Contemporary art is design occurring at the present, ever-changing, and design created by people this current moment. There are many categories where we can see this contemporary design, like painting, installation, interior design, packaging, furniture and etc.

  Based on brainstorming did using recording others opinion,  the view and expression of others can be different from person to person. This shows that contemporary art can be interpreted differently according to everyone’s own understanding.

This was described as ‘neuron’, ‘bright’, ‘light’, ‘elegant’ by the peers.

This was described as ‘sleep’, ‘tidy’,’peaceful’, ‘black and white’, abstract by the peers.

This was described as ‘variety’, ‘colourful’ by the peers.

This was described as ‘square’, ‘cube’, ‘modern’, ‘contemporary’, ‘bright’ by the peers.

   So as a conclusion, contemporary art features variety of colours in painting but can be just dull and matured colours like black and white in interior designing. It also created from many shapes and foams, like cube, square. It also has property of bright light and looks elegant in the eye of viewers. Other than, it also gives the peaceful emotion and clear view that attracts others heart.
