Introduction to Marketing

Marketing is a process that creating value for customers and to satisfying their needs and wants. It also involves marketing communications, sales support, technical assistance and customer service.

What is needs?

Needs are basic requirements needed for survival of human being.

Needs:

1) Food (Rice, Bread, Vegetables, Protein)
2) Clothes
3) House/shelter
4) Healthcare (vaccination)
5) Water

What is wants?

Wants are the things that is not important in the life but customer wants to use it because it is better than the needs.

1) Android phone vs normal mobile phone

Android phone becomes 'wants' because it has features like camera, internet, and other app downloads compare to mobile phone which does not have a better features or limited downloadable apps.

2) Sundae cup/ Starbucks Coffee compared to normal ice cream/ Nescafe

Sundae cup or Starbucks coffee is more tasty and it is costly compared to normal ones.

3) Sofa vs normal wooden chair.

Sofa is soft and more comfortable compared to a wooden chair.
