The information on Contemporary design and culture I have researched, summarized and citated as below:
Books
1) Franchi, F 2013, Designing News, Gestalten, Berlin.
  This book conveys the future of designing news as well as media industries. It also evaluates the changes taking place in digital age in terms of consumer expectation and way media is being used. Moreover, information on contemporary newspaper design is also described in this book. Author also tells how to propose strategy for traditional publishing houses, broadcasting companies, journalist and designers to address them (Franchi, 2013).

2) Lidwell, W, Holden, K, Butler, J 2003, Universal Principle of Design, Pockport Publisher Inc, America.
  This book consists of design theories for graphic designer and architecture, reference and resources for designers as well as ways to enhance usability and to make better design decisions. Ways to influence perception on variety of designs is also written in this book too (Lidwell, 2003).

3) Moranz, J 2008, Drawing & Illustration, Dover Publication Inc, New York.
  The author writes about how to draw 2-dimensional as well as 3-dimensional figures through illustration. Most of the pages illustrated with pencil with little writing.  From head to toe, perspective, composition, animals are illustrated in this book, and becomes ultimate guide for illustrators to do fundamental drawings (Moranz, 2008).

4) Tahmasebi, S 2011, Figure Poses for Fashion Illustrators, Page One Publishing Pte Ltd, Singapore.
  This book displays a lots of drawings and illustration on fashion, basic garment blocks, wide range of poses, and variety of unique design for fashion designers. Fashion designers able to draw a dynamic fashion figure after reading this book. They also get to learn about rendering technique which emphasizes the technique on colouring and shading (Tahmasebi, 2011).

5)Viction:ary, 2014, Graphic digits, Viction Workshop Ltd, Hong Kong.
  This book describes about typo-numerals which is a part of typography. The digits can be in variety of colours, shapes, and more creative for the viewers. The book consists of lot of illustration, and designs on numerals which is attractive to the eyes. It eventually becomes a guideline for designers who interested in typography field (Viction:ary, 2014).

6) White, W 2011, The Element of Graphic Design, second edition, Allworth Press, New York.
  This books as the title says, describes about the different elements of graphic design which need to address before create a design. It consist informations on space, unity, architecture, type, typographic techniques, as well as 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional space with many illustrations and pictures (White, 2011).

  This web page describe the art and culture of Malaysian in a concept of music, musical instruments, dance, drama, ‘batik’, puppet shows, ‘silat’, pewter making and weaving. Examples are given in each categories, and information are taken from mostly Malay race and Borneo (Batvina, n,d)

2) Conrad, B 2016, Gaming Addiction Statistics, Facts, Articles, & Research, Tech addiction, viewed on 30 September 2016, url: http://www.techaddiction.ca/gaming-addiction-statistics.html
  This web article describes the compilation of research on game addiction and relation to their mental health and summarization of articles from the last decade of peer-reviewed published gaming addiction research. The author mentions the different personalities associated with game addiction. Psychiatrics researches, statistic and literature reviews from others also included in this article (Conrad, 2016).

3) Low, C 2015, Top 10 Malaysian Eating Habits, The Star Online, viewed on 30 September 2016, url:http://www.thestar.com.my/metro/focus/2015/11/14/top-10-malaysian-eating-habits-common-traits-that-have-become-almost-customary-to-the-locals/
  This web newspaper article describes the top 10 eating habits of Malaysians on the year 2015. Malaysian are tend to take pictures before eating food to be posted in facebook and instagram. Other than that, they also like to include chili and spicy food in their meal. Other than, they also like to share food from other plates without prior consent from the friend. Malaysians also describes as picky eater and health conscious when it comes to food (Low, 2015).
